As for navigating the Poway community, only a few major thoroughfares wind their way through town. The primary street is aptly named Poway Road. This stretch is where most of the city's commercial development is located, whereas much of its outer perimeter consists mainly of residential development and a fairly high concentration of equestrian-centric ranches.
