It’s time to come out and say it: You and I are in a fight against mediocrity.

Unfortunately, becoming a licensed agent requires very little effort. This results in an incredibly mediocre industry. Worse than that, the industry operates in a way that protects that mediocrity by putting out messages into the market that are against the best interest of the people we should be looking to serve.

By the way, I must admit that my own career started with mediocrity. I stumbled into the industry like everyone else. It all began back in 2005 when my dad wanted to sell a home. I got licensed so that I could help him do so and just like that, I was a real estate agent.

I started to look around to see how other agents were operating. From that, I began mimicking people who seemed successful. But things have changed since then. It used to be that an agent was at the center of their business model. They were in charge of everything. It turned them into some kind of superhero who could handle all the aspects of the transaction on their own. But, why?

The reason is that because, years ago, agents were never trained to build businesses. People like myself stumbled into the industry as sole practitioners. These people built their careers around having to do everything alone. Then, the public got used to this idea and started to accept it as the status quo for the real estate industry.

Today, things are different. I’ve been through countless conferences, seminars, and trainings over the years, and these things all helped me create what is now the Beer Home Team. We’re now a fully fledged business with specialists who serve at the highest level in every component of the business. Instead of having agents do it all themselves, we have a team of people working together to provide the best possible experience for our clients.

Unfortunately, my team and I are in the minority in our industry. Real estate is full of mediocrity. However, thanks to client referrals, mediocre businesses are shrinking while businesses like mine are growing.

Still, the mediocre majority of the real estate industry have a lot on their side. They even have the National Association of Realtors on their side, because they will never lower the standard of what it takes to become an agent. Doing so would jeopardize their million-plus membership levels. They want the bar to be low.

Agents on their side will try to tell you that professionals on our side of the industry are just part of a “big machine.” But, this isn’t true. Our track record speaks for itself, and yet the other side are still going to try to protect mediocrity at any cost.

So, I want to ask you a question: Do you demand the best?

When it comes to your medical care, for example, do you trust just anyone? Of course not. You demand experts everywhere else in your life, so why not in real estate?

My challenge to you is to drown out the noise from those who protect mediocrity. Seek and demand the best. The beauty of what we’ve built at the Beer Home Team is that we know we only work with those who demand the best. Our network is connected with No. 1 agents across the entire country. So, no matter where you are, reach out to us first so we can connect you to the right specialists.
