The Daniel Beer Group remains committed to giving back to our community. We are grateful to serve our friends and neighbors along the Camino Del Sur and Del Norte corridor - all the neighborhoods in and surrounding the Santaluz area - through sponsoring organizations such as the Del Sur Educational Foundation, which is dedicated to the support of the Del Sur Elementary School.
Del Sur Elementary was named a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools nationwide based on their dedication to nurture students accomplishing high learning standards or making outstanding improvements in closing the achievement gap between some student groups.
The school is built on the hard work of the staff that has developed a highly personal education for more than 725 students since its opening in August 2008. We feel it is our duty to champion the efforts and become collaborative partners as an Explorer Title Sponsor for their recent Uncorked! And Dealin’ It for Del Sur fundraiser events, where everyone spent time having fun while raising the necessary funds that contribute directly to paying for teacher salaries of art, music, and impact teachers, technology purchases and upgrades, and buying basic school supplies such as toner/ink and Promethean board light bulbs.
The Del Sur Educational Foundation is now at the halfway point of their fundraising goal of $85K for the school year 2014-2015, and we could not be happier for them and thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a great cause.

The Poway Unified School District is one of the top rated school districts in the state of California. This was further validated by Del Sur Elementary School being named a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on September 30. Del Sur Elementary School’s Principal Doug Johnson revealed the news in a surprise assembly for students, staff and parents to celebrate the announcement.
Del Sur Elementary is the stand alone school in San Diego County, and only one of 337 schools in the country to receive such a distinction for 2014. The U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon Schools program was established in 1982 to recognize schools across America for their overall academic excellence or for making progress in improving student academic achievement levels. To date the program has honored approximately 7,900 schools across the country.

Superintendent John Collins will attend the recognition ceremony November 10 and 11 in Washington, D.C., where all 2014 National Blue Ribbon Schools will be honored by the Department.

With the summer in full swing and a record year already in the books for the Daniel Beer Group at Windermere Homes & Estates, the #1 top producing team for the brokerage is kick starting a huge initiative to give back to the community. Summer 2014 marks the first year of what is planned to be an annual Giving Back to School Program.
Anyone who buys or sells a home in the 92127 zip code until September 30th and mentions the program will be able to name a school of their choice and a charitable donation will be made out of the commission proceeds for that transaction.
Daniel Beer, the group’s CEO and Listing Specialist, is keen on making a contribution and positive impact on the community. “Initially we were going to select a school to make all donations to, but after discussing the program with multiple clients and area residents, it became clear that this is a highly personal choice for each family and we wanted to offer the maximum flexibility for each of our clients,” says Beer.
“We are highly invested in the neighborhoods lining the Camino Del Sur and Camino Del Norte corridor, and we are completely cognizant of the fact that the excellent public school education that is available in the area goes a long way toward maintaining home values and making this one of the most desirable places to live in San Diego County. We want to do our part to make sure that track record for education continues well into the future.”
A unique twist to the Giving Back to School Program that is being offered by the Daniel Beer Group is that you may also choose to have the donation made toward the tuition of any child attending a four year university in the fall of 2014 in the form of a college scholarship. Those financial contributions will be made directly into the...
